Your Role And Responsibilities
  • Perform on-site and remote service activities including commissioning, replacement, and preventive/corrective maintenance of intelligent emergency lighting systems and Central Battery systems across the UK, Ireland, and occasionally internationally.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues through analysis and troubleshooting, both remotely and on-site, in collaboration with EML LSO teams. Provide effective solutions and proactively identify opportunities to expand ABB’s Service Business.
  • Collaborate with customers on-site to identify opportunities for operational improvements and eliminate pain points.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by executing work in line with customer orders and expectations. Plan and complete tasks with a first-time right approach, ensuring timely, high-quality results while maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Ensure readiness for service activities by preparing all required materials, parts, and equipment to the appropriate quality standards. Complete documentation and reports for customer sign-off and submit timely work reports with necessary follow-up.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process failures, recommend proactive corrective actions, and propose measures to prevent recurrence of issues.
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement by recognizing areas for enhancement and suggesting practical solutions to optimize ways of working.
  • Prepare and finalize documentation and customer reports, ensuring all required signatures and approvals are obtained.
Qualifications For

The Role
  • You have a minimum education HNC / HND with a specialization in electrical and electronical engineering or equivalent.
  • You have 2 years of professional experience in the field of maintenance, putting in service or troubleshooting of (intelligent) electrical installations.
  • You have knowledge of electronics (emergency lighting is a pre) and are comfortable working with electronic tools like computers, tablets and good practice of Office tools.
  • You have a representative appearance, you are customer oriented, organized, autonomous have a big, motivated drive in a challenging environment.
  • Since you’ll be travelling across the UK & Ireland a driving is essential as is flexibility in work hours mentality including occasionally in weekends or outside business hours.
