Senior Electrical Engineer Building Services – Glasgow, Scotland
Company – One of the countries' largest, most successful and award‑winning multidisciplinary engineering consultancies with multiple offices across the UK. Projects range from small works to 100m+ across sectors. Open‑plan office with exposure to wide range of electrical systems design and strong support for staff training and development. Currently seeking an experienced electrical design engineer for the Glasgow office.
Role- Ensuring an understanding of project briefs and designing and specifying all Electrical Building Services systems (power, earthing, lighting, life safety, telecoms, security, access control, lifts, lightning protection etc.).
- Carrying out and managing detailed calculations using industry‑standard software tools including Excel, Dialux, Amtech, in‑house developed tools.
- Representing the organisation at meetings with clients and contractors.
- Conducting site surveys, inspections and monitoring site works.
- Preparing reports and technical note writing.
- Maintaining complete records and archives to company standards.
- Adhering to all quality, environmental and governance processes.
- Degree qualified, or equivalent qualification, in Building Services Engineering / Electrical Engineering or related subjects.
- Post‑graduate work experience within a similar consultancy or other relevant business.
- Full UK driving licence enabling travel to sites as required.
- Experience in the use of AutoCAD;
Revit is ideal. - Experience in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Experience with Dialux, Trimble.
- Strong knowledge of electrical building services design and appropriate technical standards.
- 33 days holiday including public holidays.
