We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Environment Artist III with extensive artistic and technical expertise and the ability to create impeccable 3D assets and immersive, fully‑realized environments in Unreal Engine. This role requires strong attention to detail, an eye for lighting and composition, and is passionate about creating compelling environments for our Cinematics and Virtual Production departments. This is a hybrid work opportunity based in Glasgow, Scotland.

Please note that during the 90‑day probationary period, this position will require working US East Coast hours.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Build detailed 3D environments in multiple different styles per project and art direction needs for use in previs, virtual production, and game cinematic projects in Unreal Engine
  • Create/implement assets and art for scene composition and compelling level layout.
  • World building, texturing, modeling and implementing inside Maya, Substance, and UE.
  • Ability to work from reference materials such as photography or concept art.
  • Package/export assets for delivery to production or vendors.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of game or film industry experience creating assets and environments
  • Intermediate to advanced‑level user of Maya, Substance, Zbrush, Unreal, Photoshop, Shotgun/Flow, Quixel Mixer, P4V
  • Skilled in hard‑surface modeling
  • Experience in environment asset creation using contemporary, real‑time rendering methods
  • Knowledge of anatomy - proportions, muscle, and skeletal structures
  • Understanding the import/export process to Unreal engine on both Static Mesh and Skeletal Mesh level, and being able to troubleshoot problems that may arise
  • Solid team player with a strong work ethic and cooperative attitude
  • Self‑motivated and focused worker with good communication and collaboration skills
  • Knowledge of traditional animation and/or video game pipelines is required.
  • Knowledge of virtual production pipelines is a big bonus.
  • Good time management skills and efficient development processes, and the ability to apply those principles towards effectively meeting schedules and deadlines
