Group Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

* Preparation and consolidation of financial reports for the group, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and accounting standards.
 
* Working with key stakeholders to develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and reforecasts, providing insight into business performance.
 
* Ownership of the month-end process, including preparation of management accounts, variance analysis, and commentary for senior leadership.
 
* Monitoring and reporting on cash flow to support effective financial decision-making.
 
* Performing detailed reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
 
* Assisting with internal and external audit requirements, ensuring timely submission of all relevant information.
 
* Identifying opportunities to enhance financial processes, controls, and reporting efficiency.
 
* Building strong relationships with internal teams, budget holders, and external auditors.
Requirements:
 
* Newly Qualified Accountant (CA, ACCA, CIMA)
 
* Background in practice (highly desirable) or proven industry experience.
 
* Experience with group reporting and consolidation (advantageous but not essential).
 
* Strong technical accounting knowledge, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
 
* Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
 
* Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across departments.
 
* Ambitious and motivated, with a desire to grow within a dynamic organisation.
