Collection Officer

Job Description

• Make a high volume of outbound collection calls to individuals who are in arrears with various creditors, including negotiating repayment plans, providing financial advice and payment options, and direction.
• Reconcile customer disputes as they pertain to payment of outstanding balances.
• Monitor and maintain assigned accounts within our computerized collection system.
• Employ basic skip‑trace techniques to locate new or updated contact information for clients.
• Perform other assigned tasks and duties necessary to the collection department.
• Meet monthly and daily department goals.
• Adhere to collection legislation.

• Goal‑oriented, energetic, and self‑motivated.
• Previous experience in telephone sales, call centre, etc.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Previous experience in debt collection, an asset.
