A leading, highly regarded international law firm is seeking a Real Estate Finance Managing Associate to join its thriving team in either Edinburgh or Glasgow. About the Team- The Real Estate Finance team sits at the core of a broader Banking & Finance practice recognised as one of the strongest in Scotland and across the UK
. - The team is led by a Partner known for a positive, proactive management style and for fostering a caring, open environment where lawyers are supported, challenged and encouraged to progress professionally.
- The works seamlessly alongside other Real Estate Finance specialists as well as colleagues across banking, real estate, corporate and restructuring, allowing for genuinely joined-up advice on complex and high-value matters.
- Collaboration is fundamental to the team's culture. Lawyers are expected to be genuine team players, supporting one another, working towards shared goals and contributing meaningfully to collective success.
This is a senior, hands-on position within a market-leading Real Estate Finance practice. You will:
- Advise on a broad range of real estate finance matters, including investment finance, development finance, refinancings and complex structured transactions.
- Take a leading role on transactions, managing matters efficiently from instruction through to completion.
- Work closely with the Partner leading the team, other and colleagues across the wider Banking & Finance group on sophisticated, multi-disciplinary matters.
- Supervise, mentor and support junior lawyers, contributing to a positive and high-performing team environment.
- Play an active role in client relationship management and business development initiatives.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- 4+ years' PQE with strong Real Estate Finance experience gained at a recognised practice.
- Excellent technical capability combined with sound commercial judgement.
- A collaborative, team-focused mindset, with an attitude that complements a supportive and high-performing environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues.
