Support Services Supervisor - Hotel Services

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

This role is based at Maryhill Health Centre, 51 Gairbraid Avenue, Glasgow G20 8FB
. Working hours are 05:00-09:00 Monday to Friday. The salary is pro rata for part‑time hours.

As a Support Services Supervisor you will oversee staff cleaning patient areas, clinical and non‑clinical departments, offices and administration areas to comply with NHS national standards of cleanliness, mop laundering and porter/messenger services within the health care environment.

Responsibilities
  • Allocate staff resources and manage scheduling.
  • Audit cleaning services and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Input payroll information and support pay processes.
  • Plan and deliver staff training.
  • Liaise with service users, department leads and other stakeholders.
  • Carry out cleaning tasks as required as part of a supervisory role.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and service users.
Qualifications
  • Right to work in the UK for the duration of employment.
  • At least two references from current or most recent employment covering the last 3 years.
  • Experience in supervision of cleaning or health‑care support services preferred.
