Role OverviewThe role will be responsible for managing the Planning and controls function within the Transmission IT Digital Team to support the delivery of the full IT Digital Projects portfolio. The Planning and Controls department leads three core pillars within the IT department of the Transmission business:
Portfolio Management Office (PMO), Fiscal Control and Compliance. It is responsible for implementing and overseeing effective governance controls across the entire IT Digital Function. Provide effective reporting on all aspects of programme delivery, including progress to plan, programme financial status, risks/issues. Evaluate and propose ways to better facilitate cross‑portfolio delivery with the business. Coordinate all necessary finance forecasting and budgeting requirements on behalf of Transmission IT.

- Manage and develop the maturity of the IT Digital Project Management Office
- Govern and define the delivery frameworks for IT & OT projects
- Provide a central PMO service across run, grow and transform elements of the IT Digital Portfolio
- Provide project assurance of the IT digital portfolio
- Act as the point of contact for all group reporting in relation to the Transmission IT Digital portfolio
- Previous experience of leading a large enterprise Project Management Office
- Comprehensive knowledge of project and programme management disciplines
- Extensive background in managing risks and providing assurance services in support of a portfolio in excess of £50M annually
- Experience operating in a regulated industry and familiar with what is expected in terms of external governance and reporting
