Are you ready to launch your career in ICT and make a real difference in how technology supports education? We’re looking for a proactive, tech‑savvy individual to join our ICT team as a 1st Line ICT Desktop Support Specialist
.
This is your chance to be the go‑to person for solving tech challenges, supporting staff and students, and keeping our digital infrastructure running smoothly across college campuses.
What You’ll Be Doing- Be the first point of contact for ICT support—via phone, Email, MS Teams and in person.
- Install and maintain ICT, printing, and AV equipment.
- Log and manage support requests using our ITIL-based Service Desk.
- Troubleshoot issues, elevate when needed, and keep users informed.
- Assist with password resets, office moves, and equipment setups.
- Monitor antivirus and backup reports, and take action where needed.
- Maintain asset registers and support software/hardware availability.
- Help manage deliveries and purchase orders.
- HNC (SCQF Level
7) in a technical IT‑related subject or equivalent experience. - Solid understanding of desktop operating systems and Office applications.
- Strong communication skills and a customer‑first attitude.
- A knack for problem‑solving and working as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel between campuses when needed.
- Work with a supportive and forward‑thinking ICT team.

Location: Cardonald Campus (The successful candidate will be expected to work across all three of Glasgow Clyde College campuses when required).
Salary: £25,873 per annum
