BI and Python, to join their growing global team. This person will be the first individual on site in Scotland, but form part of an existing larger European team. You will own the design and improvement of a strategic platform that consolidates communication channel data. BI and Python, to work within a growing data capability for this regarded financial services firm. Responsibilities of the Data Engineer (Power

BI & Python):

• Platform tool development and maintenance
• Extend and maintain the internal tool using Power BI, Python, MS SQL and Power Apps
• Design, build, and document APIs that integrate upstream and downstream systems
• Optimise schemas and queries to improve performance and resolve technical issues
• Automate data ingestion pipelines and enhance data controls to ensure reliability
• Refine the user interface and experience

Background of the Data Engineer (Power

BI & Python)

• Particular strength in Power
  
  BI is essential
• A good grounding in Python is essential
• Solid understanding of data engineering, integration and ETL concepts/processes
• Governance mindset is essential
• Decent MS SQL, Power Apps and Power Automate skills also handy
