Paralegal – Casualty Injury Team (DAC Beachcroft)

Due to ongoing client wins and impressive growth, DAC Beachcroft's Casualty Injury team is looking for a number of talented Paralegals. Whether you are an experienced Paralegal or new to Defendant Personal Injury work, we have this exciting opportunity for you. Our team focuses primarily on employers' liability and public liability claims, but also handles product and care claims. You will be working within a dynamic and supportive team, handling your own case lead and assisting with higher value claims.

• Effectively run the file to ensure deadlines are met and cases are managed proactively to conclusion
• Ensure work is carried out effectively to meet the needs of clients, commercial requirements of the firm, and quality standards
• Adherence to internal and client SLAs, KPIs and protocols
• Achievement of agreed financial targets
• Prompt billing and collection of WIP and disbursements
• Prompt and accurate provision of MI
• Devising a clear case strategy which is adhered to, ensuring cases run smoothly and balance commercial interests
• Applying appropriate and current technical expertise and case law
• Effectively managing risk and compliance issues within each case, escalated promptly to Supervisor when needed
• Engage with clients where appropriate to maximise opportunities to meet and build rapport, acting as an ambassador of the firm
• Contribute to business development and client relationship activity in support of the Client Relationship Partner where required
• Maintain and develop technical knowledge through training sessions and reading appropriate publications

• Paralegal with 1 or more years’ experience in a similar role, ideally with EL/PL experience. Alternative backgrounds such as disease, pre‑litigated Defendant work, clinical negligence, profin etc. are also considered
• Good organisation skills, ability to work to deadlines, prioritise workload, meet conflicting demands and have a strong work ethic
• Able to produce work to a high standard, with excellent attention to detail and concern for quality of service
