Vehicle Technician / Mechanic – Lookers Motor Group Limited

Location: Lookers Glasgow Van Centre, Glasgow, Scotland
Role type: All Tech Levels welcome
Contract type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: £30,000 – £45,000 plus OTE up to £6,000 (depending on level and qualifications)
Hours: 40 hours per week, 1 in 3 Saturdays 8:30am – 12:30pm

Report to the Accomplished Aftersales Manager who will provide ongoing support and training, including manufacturer accredited schemes and Hybrid & Electric training.

• Carrying out vehicle health checks using the latest technology
• Conducting vehicle service in accordance with manufacturers guidelines and customer requests
• Carrying out any additional repairs once authorised by the customer
• Warranty repairs as per the manufacturer’s guidelines and complete relevant write‑ups
• Taking the customer's vehicle out on a road test to ensure all faults are rectified
• Completing all relevant paperwork to a high standard

The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a mechanic, be self‑motivated, ambitious, and eager to learn. Candidates must hold a full UK driving licence and have completed NVQ Level 3 or an equivalent qualification. Previous experience with a brand is advantageous but not essential, as full brand accreditation training can be provided.
