FLT Driver - Despatch

Role:
Storage Operative / Forklift Driver (Fixed Term Contract) – Nights, 4 on 4 off.

Location:

Glasgow. This is a 3-month fixed-term contract in the Despatch team. You will help keep product flowing, pallets organised and paperwork accurate.

• Operate Fork Lift Trucks and pallet trucks to move stock safely and efficiently.
• Feed hoppers with inserts to keep production lines running.
• Monitor stackers and strappers to ensure finished goods are neatly banded and ready for dispatch.
• Complete daily sheets in the Distribution area with care and accuracy.
• Support polybagging, fold‑and‑stitch and palletiser lines when extra help is required.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards so the area is clean, safe and audit‑ready.

• Current Counter Balance FLT licence and confidence with pallet truck operation (essential).
• Recent experience in a despatch or warehouse environment (inhouse training provided).
• Clear communication, ability to follow instructions, and safe working practices without cutting corners.
• Organised, numerate and accurate with simple systems and paperwork; takes ownership of housekeeping and the working environment.
• Strong safety focus, good spatial awareness, careful load handling; able to stay calm and productive when busy.
• Flexibility for shifts and overtime when production demands it (plus).
