Job Overview

This Cleaner position is part of Mitie’s facilities management team, responsible for maintaining environments such as offices, shopping centres, hospitals and airports to help them thrive in the community.

Pay Rate: £15.00 per hour

Position: Permanent

Contract Type: Part Time

Hours: 2 hours per day

Shift Pattern: Monday to Saturday (06:30 am – 08:30 am)

Location: Co Op, 188 Harvie Avenue, Newton Mearns, East Renfrewshire, Scotland, G77 6TR

• Ensure equipment is kept clean, well maintained, and in safe working order.
• Meet all agreed SLAs and follow cleaning schedules.
• Build knowledge of the designated cleaning area and understand cleaning equipment and chemicals used.
• Follow Health and Safety requirements and complete all required training.
• Work effectively within a team and independently, delivering excellent customer service.

• Ability to communicate and read basic English.
• Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential.
• Flexible and proactive approach to work.
• Open, honest, self‑driven, and determined attitude.
• Reliable and hardworking with a professional demeanour.
