* Sauchiehall Street Culture and Heritage District*, funded through the National Lottery Heritage Fund
* Heritage Places
* initiative. Sauchiehall Street has the densest concentration of cultural institutions in Scotland, and this project marks a strategic, significant city initiative to drive place-based renewal through culture and heritage, contributing to Glasgow’s role as a global cultural powerhouse and supporting the vibrant city economy while delivering social impacts for our citizens.

The Senior Arts Manager – Sauchiehall Street Culture and Heritage District is a new, fixed term role and is the strategic lead for this significant city project. The role leads and supports Sauchiehall Street project teams in Glasgow Life and Glasgow City Council with responsibility for cultural policy and strategy, built heritage and city centre strategy, planning and property.

We’re looking for:
* Degree level education, preferably in Arts, Heritage or City Policy discipline (or equivalent relevant experience
* Proven track record in leading project management, programming, artistic and operational delivery of large-scale and city-wide culture and heritage projects and programmes
* Experience leading funding and partnership relationships with National Lottery Heritage Fund, Creative Scotland, British Council, Scottish Government and other relevant national and international funding bodies.
* Working experience of leading culture and heritage sector and industry relationships with demonstrable results
* Experience of lead responsibility for controlling budgets circa £1m+.
* Proven experience in managing programmes with multiple partner organisations including stakeholder management and reporting (including against targets) to City and Scottish Government and other national and international bodies.
* Excellent city-specific knowledge of, and existing relationships with, arts and heritage programmes and organisations and wider sector.
* Proven track record in operational and logistical delivery of complex and large-scale culture and heritage renewal projects
* Excellent communications skills including producing regular high-quality reports and presentations to key stakeholders.
* Experience managing a team, and managing teams of minimum 4+ other managers across services
