Job Description Summary
JOB TITLE: Director – Head of Commercial Performance & Effectiveness
LOCATIONS: Birmingham / Glasgow / Leeds / London
HOURS: Full Time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites
The role is a senior leadership position responsible for leading the commercially focused elements of the commercial card business. Key accountabilities include:
- Own and drive the commercial strategy
- Oversight and management of the end‑to‑end P&L
- Ensuring pricing strategy and methodology reflect business outcomes
- Drive understanding and track portfolio performance to inform the strategy
- Partner closely with Finance and Sales teams to accurately track and report progress
- Leading, coaching, and mentoring the team to enable high performance
- Managing customer contracts and ensuring performance in line with standards and terms

- Strong commercial skills
- Experience leading commercialisation teams and/or projects
- Exceptional P&L management skills
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to think laterally, be innovative and find creative solutions
- Brilliant collaborator across matrix teams
And Any Experience Of These Would Be Useful
- Experience and understanding of Commercial Cards
- Knowledge of card payment rails and funding models
