RoleFTC (18 months) and Permanent. 4 day week Monday-Thursday, 37 hours per week (9.25 hrs/day). Start time flexible between 6:00am and 7:30am. Unpaid lunch 30 minutes. Free on-site parking and canteen.
OpportunityDue to demand we’re looking for experienced Technicians to join our Optronics and Missile Electronics [OME] business unit in Glasgow. With experience in wiring and building electrical assemblies you’ll be performing manufacturing tasks in accordance with engineering drawings to the required quality.
What you’ll do- Ensure all incidents are logged correctly and escalated to H&S leaders as appropriate.
- Escalate health and safety issues to the Work Cell Manager.
- Perform complex manufacturing operations in accordance with the associated documentation and quality standards, timely and professionally.
- Adhere to the defined company processes when carrying out all tasks.
- Perform self‑assessment and approval of products.
- Support any continuous improvement actions being worked on within Industry.
- Detect faults or non‑compliance, raise alerts, and contribute to diagnostics and root cause analysis when possible.
- Manage and record build configuration of product.
- Use company tools (ERP, Palma, etc.) when carrying out product assembly tasks.
- Experience in wiring.
- Ability to perform complex electrical operations involving wiring and component soldering to IPC standards.
- Experience building electrical assemblies.
- The ability to interpret drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Eligibility to obtain full SC clearance.
