Responsible for the operation of CNC machinery (lathe, horizontal, and vertical milling machines) and inspection of finished goods to ensure process control. Must follow all health and safety codes related to machinery.

• Operate CNC Lathe (Harrison Alpha 550T & Mori Seiki SL35)
• Operate CNC Horizontal Milling Machine (Mori Seiki SH63)
• Operate CNC Vertical Milling Machine (Daewoo VC500)
• Review and update setups, working methods, and procedures including SOPs
• Operate manual machines:
  Lathe, Drill, Mill
• Deburr castings and parts after machining
• Perform quality assurance inspection of parts according to drawings and requirements
• Maintain equipment efficiency records
• Conduct manual statistical testing to ensure machines meet specifications
• Perform safety and housekeeping tasks
• Set up machines and perform routine maintenance and preventative tasks
• Participate in EHS activities including risk assessments within manufacturing
• Participate in continuous improvement activities to drive improvements
• Provide training to peers and apprentices, and may be required to pursue additional training
• Implement and improve the company’s quality system
• Work in other areas as required

• Machining apprenticeship background
• Machine operation experience in a manufacturing setting
• Experience on CNC machines is essential
• Strong numeracy/mathematical skills
• Capability to operate manual machinery including jib cranes
