Operations Planner – Fixed Term 1 YearAs a Manufacturing Operations Planner you will create achievable production plans, manage materials and resources, and support the team in meeting sales goals and operational excellence.
What You’ll Do- Develop and maintain production and material plans, identify risks and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate closely with team leaders, program managers and buyers to align and communicate effectively.
- Manage capacity planning processes and lead regular production review meetings.
- Support the team in exceeding sales targets of over £205 million.
Key Responsibilities
- Load customer demands into the Master Production Schedule.
- Perform planner workbench activities to optimise efficiency.
- Report on material availability, job progress and inventory management.
- Build strong relationships across teams and contribute to a culture of collaboration.
- Develop innovative solutions to process challenges, aligning with company objectives.
- Strong MRP II planning skills and understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably using ERP systems.
- Exceptional communication and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Familiarity with complex bills of material and routings (advantageous).
- APICS or Institute of Operations Management qualifications (desirable).
You’ll be part of an eight‑person Operations Planning team where your contributions directly impact business success, while having access to professional development and career progression within a dynamic environment.
