Community Nurse – Immunisation, Vaccination & Injections - Primary Care

We are looking for a first level NMC Registered Nurse to support our immunisation and injections team. The role focuses on providing an accessible, appropriate, culturally sensitive, safe, person‑centred and effective service for adults, children and young people in the community. You will work in partnership with patients, families, care providers and other agencies including general practice, primary care, education and public health.

Shift pattern: Monday – Sunday, 08:30 – 16:30.

Prerequisites: Live NMC UK pin. Must be a registered nurse and have evidence of continuing professional development relevant to immunisation.

Responsibilities

Support the Team Lead and the wider team in delivering safe and effective quality services.

Requirements
  • Work as part of a team.
  • Car driver essential – driving within city/countryside environments.
  • Experience working with adults, children, young people and families/carers desirable. Awareness of national immunisation and vaccination policy drivers is an asset.
  • Previous experience of delivering immunisations beneficial.
  • Awareness of national policy and legislation within adult and children’s services.
  • Completion of e‑learning course “Promoting Effective Immunisation and Vaccination Practice”.
  • IT skills essential and strong communication, independent initiative, leadership and problem‑solving skills.
