Compensation: £12.21 - £13.00 per hour (midnight onwards £13.21 per hour)

• Ensure the kitchen is set up and ready for each service with the right amount of prepared Pasta Sauces and other ingredients that ensure the right amount for quick service but do not negatively impact food costs i.e. wastage, including preparing par levels in the pre-prepared cold delivery fridge.
• Wear a full smart clean uniform to the brand standard at all times whilst on shift and protective clothing as required.
• Adhere to the full Pasta Evangelists Standard, ensuring our Pasta and other products are kept to the highest possible standard for best product quality for our customer.
• Maintain an exceptionally clean kitchen and comply with all Health and Safety / Quality and Safety regulations.
• Monitor availability and inform Team leaders and the wider team in advance.
• Document and keep a record of information on food as appropriate to the company policy and effective date labelling and ensure stock rotation principles (FIFO) are fully adhered to.
• Maintain par levels and accurately record any food wastage.
• Utilise the SOP to maximise the quality and speed of food readiness.
• Ensure correct temperature records for all equipment (fridges, pasta boiler, ovens, microwaves etc.) and follow safe food handling procedures.
• Maintain all equipment to the SOP standard (kitchen management system, ovens, fridges, freezers etc.).
• Prepare and cook food to the highest of standards and comply with the preparation of all food that meets Pasta Evangelist’s requirements as laid out within “How to Cards.”
• Prepare food quickly, in the correct order, to the How to Card standard and in line with all SOPs.
• Check deliveries into the store and report any issues to the Team Leader/Manager; ensure all deliveries are received and stored appropriately and storage requirements are adhered to.
• Operate the wash‑up area effectively and ensure any equipment used is thoroughly cleaned.
• Use correct signage whilst cleaning is taking place.
• Dispose of rubbish correctly at all times, following company waste management processes in relation to recycling and local authority requirements.
• Report any equipment defects quickly to the Team leader or Area Manager.
• Follow all close‑down kitchen procedures and keep the kitchen clean and prepared for the next shift.>
• Organise pest checks regularly and report any concerns to the Team leader and higher management.

• Knowledge of safe food handling, storage, and preparation techniques to prevent foodborne illnesses (preferable).
• Familiar with basic culinary techniques such as chopping, slicing, dicing, and measuring ingredients.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment, prioritise tasks, and manage time effectively.
• Meticulous and detail‑oriented when it comes to food preparation, cleaning, and maintaining kitchen organisation.
• Strong team player, communicate effectively with colleagues, and follow instructions from the Team Leader and/or Area Manager.
• Willing to adapt to changing situations, work schedules, and tasks as required in a dynamic kitchen environment.
