Business Development Executive - Berkeley Myles Solutions at Banyan Software

About

The Role

Reporting to the CEO, you will identify, develop, and close new business opportunities for Progress Plus across the UK & Ireland. We seek a full-cycle B2B sales specialist with deep prospecting and relationship-building skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and develop new business leads and maintain a qualified sales pipeline within the UK.
  • Respond to inbound marketing leads and qualify them as sales opportunities.
  • Compile prospective customer lists from desk research and external sources such as sector conferences.
  • Deliver online and face-to-face demonstrations of the Progress Plus software.
  • Prepare quotations, negotiate contracts, and close sales.
  • Provide weekly reports on sales activity, performance, and pipeline status.
  • Exceed personal sales targets and contribute to marketing initiatives.
  • Engage in knowledge sharing and collaborate with internal teams.
  • Report to Line Manager on ongoing activities and workload.
What We’re Looking For
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Full sales cycle management from prospecting to contract negotiation.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient IT skills with effective software tool usage.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and independent work capability.
  • In-depth product knowledge and detail orientation.
  • Customer-focused, results-driven, and technologically savvy.
Preferred Experience
  • Proven sales experience of new B2B software solutions with long sales cycles.
  • Hunter sales role with proven lead generation, relationship building, and target meeting.
  • Knowledge of business systems, including manufacturing & accounting procedures.
