Recovery Practitioner – 38 Hour Contract – Glasgow

South Glasgow Hub provides community addiction support. As a Recovery Practitioner you will support people recovering from drugs and alcohol, using both harm‑reduction and abstinence approaches. You will carry a caseload of people and support them with their recovery based upon their individual needs.
Responsibilities- Carry and manage your own caseload of people.
- Provide evidence‑based interventions and motivational interviewing.
- Create tailored recovery plans and build trusting relationships.
- Network with partner agencies and connect people with the right services.
- Support individuals in the community and through the Hub.
- Experience in working in addiction (lived experience welcome).
- Knowledge of recovery models, harm‑reduction and safeguarding practices.
- Strong communication and motivational interviewing skills.
- Empathy, patience, and ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Confidence in managing a varied caseload and prioritising effectively.
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
