Job Overview

Salary: 24,310 - 28,000 per annum.
Location: Glasgow, Scotland.
Contract: Permanent full‑time (37 hours/week) and 12‑month fixed‑term until March 2027.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with young people aged 16‑26 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and support them through a housing transition.
  • Co‑ordinate and maintain written records and support documents for each service user.
  • Complete initial and ongoing assessments, action planning and participate in on‑call duties as required.
  • Professional relationship building, promoting the child at the centre of all activities and integrating Action for Children’s Participation Standards.
  • Take part in assessment and action planning in partnership with young people.
  • Achieve safeguarding standards and report concerns appropriately.
  • Promote equality and diversity locally and develop inclusive action plans.
Qualifications & Experience
  • HNCSVQ in social care / equivalent qualification for housing support service, or willingness to work towards qualification.
  • Registered with SSSC or equivalent, or willingness to work towards registration.
  • Experience in a social care setting and understanding of the issues faced by homeless young adults.
  • Experience in safeguarding and understanding of risk management plans.
  • Knowledge of mental health issues experienced by young people.
  • Ability to engage with young people and build positive relationships.
  • Knowledge and experience of multi‑agency working.
