** What you’ll do
** As a Trainee Community Interpreter, you’ll be a part of a new team, reporting to the Libraries and Communities Officer. You’ll play an essential role in supporting a wide range of community-based clients with their interpretation and translation needs while receiving on-the-job training and employability support. Your work will make a visible and lasting difference in supporting our communities. As part of your 51-week contract, you will work to gain a Community Interpreting qualification, a PC Passport accredited digital skills qualification as well as gaining invaluable work experience as a community interpreter.

You will also receive wraparound employability support from a Jobs & Business Glasgow advisor to help you secure sustainable employment or progress to a range of further education opportunities.

We’re looking for:
* Candidates with English language skills at SCQF level 5.
* Candidates who are literate and numerate in at least one of the following community languages. If you speak another language, please get in touch so we can discuss your application:
