We are seeking an AI Engineer with expertise in building scalable, production-grade systems and a passion for AI / LLM technologies and innovation. You will design, develop, and maintain our platform’s backend infrastructure, focusing on multi-tenant architectures, security, and efficient LLM integration. This role requires a strong understanding of Python web frameworks, cloud services (particularly AWS), and modern AI approaches including working with agentic architecture.

Backend Development & Architecture - Design and implement scalable Python backend services, architect and maintain secure, high-performance, production multi-tenant systems, and develop RESTful and asynchronous APIs for internal and external use.

LLM, Agents & AI Integration - Drive R&D innovation to meet client goals by building AI agentic workflows, advanced search, robust interaction and context management, and extending core model capabilities and protocols.

Leadership & Collaboration - Collaborate on UI / UX integration, code reviews, architecture and roadmap decisions, and cross-functional work with data science, product, and commercial teams.

Data Engineering - Design and maintain efficient data pipelines, ensuring smooth data flow between systems and LLM components while implementing robust validation, transformation, and enrichment processes.

Cloud & Infrastructure - Design and implement AWS-based cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code approaches and maintain CI / CD pipelines for reliable deployment and testing

Security & Compliance - Operate to the highest security standards as expected by ISO
27001

• 5+ years of Python backend development experience (fewer years’ experience is acceptable for exceptional candidates)
• Strong experience of using LLMs / AI in a production setting and use of the latest techniques working with LLMs
• Strong knowledge of cloud services (preferably AWS) and infrastructure-as-code
• Experience with containerisation, orchestration, and CI / CD pipelines
• Understanding of database scaling, caching strategies, and performance optimisation
• Familiarity with LLM technologies and latest utilisation methodologies, including agentic workflows
• Strong understanding of software design principles and coding standards

• Familiarity with React or other frontend technologies for better cross-team collaboration
• Experience implementing LLM integration frameworks
• Background in pharmaceutical or healthcare domain
• Familiarity of working to ISMS ISO
