Software Engineer, Full Stack Developer
Morgan Stanley is seeking a UI developer for the Sales and Distribution team within the Institutional Equities Division in Glasgow.
This position focuses on developing analytical tools for Sales and Trading users, leveraging HTML5, Angular, CSS, and Type Script.
Responsibilities- Work within a team adhering to product development standards.
- Develop, enhance, re‑engineer and maintain SnD UI applications.
- Contribute to application design and architecture.
- Promote best practices in TDD, development tools and practices.
- Lead various product lifecycle phases including analysis, development and testing.
- Interact with business users to understand requirements and troubleshoot issues.
- Develop an understanding of Morgan Stanley business to facilitate communication with users.
- Excited about new technology and eager to learn.
- Self‑starter with strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
- Ability to handle competing demands and manage own work to deadlines.
- Team player who can collaborate across geographical areas.
- Highly motivated to expand technical and business knowledge.
- Strong JavaScript skills.
- Experience with HTML5, CSS and related web technologies.
- Experience with Angular and Type Script.
- Experience with Agile and TDD.
- Experience developing custom reusable components.
- Ability to analyze, design and develop complex UI components.
- Demonstrable ability to meet deadlines and deliver results.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exposure to the financial services industry.
- Desire to work in a fast‑paced front office environment.
