Overview
Police Scotland’s Digital Division is looking for a Graduate Developer to join a 24‑month programme that will develop technical and business skills across the organisation.
About The CompanyPolice Scotland’s purpose is to improve the safety and wellbeing of people, places and communities. As part of the Digital Division you will support technology provision to officers and staff across the second‑largest police force in the UK, transforming services from ‘doing digital’ to ‘being digital’.
AboutThe Role
As a Graduate Developer you will integrate into an existing team, mentored by a Manager, Buddy, Mentor and Graduate Programme SPOCs. You will complete a Graduate Portfolio to capture personal development and be supported through facilitated sessions.
Responsibilities- Support the provision of technology to officers and staff.
- Participate in projects to transform services.
- Complete a Graduate Portfolio for personal development.
- Work collaboratively within an existing team.
- Essential:
Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering related discipline.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong prioritisation and organisational skills, customer focused.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Ability to work under pressure as part of a team.
Grade 4 – Salary £33,446 per annum. 35 working hours per week, Monday‑Friday 9am‑5pm with flexi time policy.
