Construction Sub Agent, Civil Engineering

We're recruiting an experienced Freelance Sub Agent to support a major highways infrastructure scheme, overseeing bridge construction and associated structural works. This role is ideal for a proactive, delivery-driven professional who can hit the ground running and take ownership of critical structural packages.

Role Responsibilities

· Daily supervision and coordination of bridge and structural work fronts

· Work closely with Site Engineers, Supervisors, and subcontractors to maintain progress

· Ensure works are delivered in line with design, specifications, and QA requirements

· Coordinate permits, method statements, risk assessments, and site documentation

· Monitor progress, manage interfaces, and support programme delivery

· Uphold site safety standards and contribute to short-term planning

· Provide accurate reporting and updates to the Site Agent/Project Management

Essential Experience

· Strong Civil Engineering background (degree or equivalent required)

· Proven experience delivering structures
-bridges, RC works, culverts, retaining walls, or similar

· Solid understanding of highways construction and major project environments

· Ability to operate independently, solve problems, and drive productivity on-site

· Valid CSCS; SMSTS/SSSTS preferred
