Safran offers apprenticeships that combine hands-on experience with guided mentorship. You will work on projects that improve product quality, support sustainable technology, and contribute to a cleaner, greener future for the aviation industry. Safran Landing Systems is a global leader in aircraft landing and braking systems, covering design, manufacturing, maintenance and repair.

• Build and set up of test equipment for landing gear testing
• Assembly and fault-finding of electrical installations (e.g., PLC, HMI, wiring harnesses), with the aid of electrical schematics
• Assembly, fault finding and maintenance of hydraulic systems
• Compiling electrical schematics
• Calibration of transducers
• Strain-gauge installation
• Setting up data acquisition and control systems for testing
• Supporting Test Engineering facility activities relating to Health & Safety and maintenance

Year 1:
Time spent at a private local engineering training provider where the relevant qualification units are delivered and assessed.

Year 2-3:
Delivered and assessed within Safran to achieve a Level 3 Diploma, with allocated time to work in different departments according to training needs. All apprentices are assigned an apprenticeship coordinator to support learning journeys.

What you'll need to be successful:

• 5 GCSEs, grades 9–5, or A* - C (including English, Maths and Science)
• An interest in engineering from school, hobbies, or other experiences
• Positive work ethic and the ability to work both alone and with others
• Willingness to learn and try new challenges
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
• The ability to plan and organise yourself
