About us:Gama Aviation is a very reputable Business Aviation company, working on both fixed wing and rotary aircraft. We are continuing to grow and expand, with exciting contracts being secured. As a result of this, an opportunity has arisen for a B2 Licensed Engineer to join our Rotary Base Maintenance team.
Working a 6‑4‑4 shift pattern, the successful candidate will provide engineering assistance for the Staverton base facility, encompassing scheduled maintenance, defect investigation and modification embodiment. The base engineer will be located at Staverton and will expedite base maintenance CRS time frames, providing effective cover across our ongoing Staverton inputs. If during periods of sickness or holiday, the successful candidate will also assist AOG recovery across our rotary fleet.
Responsibilities:- Completion of all paperwork and documentation
- The issuing of all approved materials to the work via the company’s computer system (Corridor)
- All work is completed using approved tools and ground support equipment
- All work is completed in a safe and appropriate manner considering risk to personnel, property and reputation
- The working environment is approved and appropriate to the task being undertaken
- All tooling is accounted for prior to return to service
- All post maintenance actions have been completed
- Completion of maintenance detailed in the Maintenance Status Report
- Reporting defects to the Line Maintenance Manager or Planning Department
- Reporting issues regarding Health and Safety or Flight Safety via the company’s reporting system (iQSMS)
- Engineering additional duties as directed by the Line Maintenance Manager or Planning Department
- Essential An EASA or UK CAA Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Licence
- A strong maintenance related technical knowledge of electrical and avionic systems
- A good working knowledge of the regulations and requirements associated with aircraft maintenance, Health & Safety and Human Factors
- The ability to take responsibility and ownership of tasks
- The ability to understand the requirement of clear, unambiguous communication
- Familiarity with OEM appropriate to helicopter type
- The ability to work alone and the willingness to travel. This role covers multiple sites to ensure effective coverage of our rotary line stations – minimising operational downtime during AOG situations.
