Salary: £35,000 to £40,000 depending on experience

A growing Gloucester based company is looking for a detail driven Assistant Accountant to join their finance team. This role is perfect for someone who is AAT qualified or currently working towards AAT Level 3 and eager to continue developing their skills in a supportive environment. You will play an essential part in keeping the financial heartbeat of the business steady and precise.

• Support month end processes including journals, accruals and prepayments
• Assist with maintaining accurate ledgers and reconciliations
• Process invoices and support purchase and sales ledger activity
• Prepare financial reports as required by the Finance Manager
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities
• Maintain compliance with internal controls and financial procedures
• Assist with year end processes and audit preparation
• Provide general financial administration and ad hoc support across the team

• AAT qualified or actively studying towards AAT Level 3
• Strong understanding of accounting principles
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Confident Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software
• Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, positive approach
• Previous experience in a similar finance role is desirable
