The Role

As Chief Executive Officer, you will provide strategic and operational leadership, ensuring the successful delivery of Severn Wye’s mission and business plan. You’ll work closely with the Board and senior team to scale impact, secure resources, and represent the organisation nationally. This role combines strategic vision with hands-on leadership, requiring exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead the organisation’s strategy and future business plan

* Ensure robust governance and operational excellence

* Drive income generation and financial sustainability

* Represent Severn Wye externally with funders, partners, and government

* Inspire and motivate a dedicated team to deliver lasting impact

Candidate Profile

We’re looking for someone who brings:

* Proven leadership experience in a similar-sized charity, SME, or third-sector organisation

* Strong strategic planning and financial acumen

* Excellent communication and influencing skills

* A collaborative, values-led approach to leadership

* Passion for sustainability and social impact
