The Role:

Leidos is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Project Manager to support the management of change and on contract growth within the Logistics, Commodities and Services Transformation (LCST) programme. The successful applicant will play a crucial role in coordinating project timelines, resources, and activities to ensure excellence in programme execution within the Logistics and Mission Support (LMS) division.

You will be self-motivated and able to work autonomously and within a team to achieve day-to-day objectives, ensuring compliance with project milestones and appropriate application of program execution governance. You must be an effective communicator, commercially savvy, and comfortable directly engaging with customers and colleagues.

What will I be doing?
  • Develop comprehensive project plans for strategic growth opportunities, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation. Execute the project plan, ensuring all milestones and deliverables are met on time and within budget.
  • Engage and communicate effectively with key stakeholders, including the customer, sub-contract partners, project teams, and senior leadership. Foster strong relationships to ensure alignment and support for project objectives.
  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and deliverables.
  • Coordinate and allocate resources efficiently to ensure project goals are achieved. Manage project teams, including internal staff and external contractors, to deliver high-quality results.
  • Monitor project budgets and actuals. Ensure accurate financial reporting and manage budget variances to keep the project on track financially.
  • Support quality management processes to ensure project deliverables meet the required standards and specifications. Conduct regular reviews to maintain quality control.
  • Generate regular status reports and updates for stakeholders and senior management. Provide clear and concise communication on project progress, issues, and resolutions.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements within Project Management in LMS. Contribute to the development and refinement of project management methodologies and tools.
What does Leidos need from me?
  • Proven track record in successfully delivering projects or task work packages of small to medium size and high complexity deliveries
  • Good interpersonal skills and judgement for dealing with both internal and external stakeholders to develop strong working relationships supporting achievement of objectives
  • Demonstrable understanding of business, finance and people management techniques and the commercial aspects of projects
  • Strong understanding of Project Management principles and methodologies
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate, collaborate and effectively build relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMQ/PPQ, ChPP, MSP) is a plus
