Overview
Nonprofit Leadership Programme role at The Borgen Project. This is a part-time 12-hours per week, 12-week unpaid remote programme. If your availability is limited, you can work ahead and complete the programme in fewer weeks.
The Borgen Project is an international organisation focused on improving living conditions for people affected by war, famine and poverty, and advocates for poverty reduction to be a focus of U.S., Canadian and U.K. foreign policy.
Responsibilities- Advocacy Leadership Development — Meet with members of Government in your District/Constituency; represent The Borgen Project at various business, political and community events; mobilise individuals to contact their members of Government in support of key poverty-reduction legislation.
- Fundraising Development — Learn how to fundraise. Create a personal fundraising campaign and meet targets.
- Recruitment — Update job postings; inform groups and classes of openings; introduction to recruitment platforms and listen in to interviews.
- Marketing and Promotion — Pitch story ideas to print, broadcast and digital media and utilise social media; develop strategies for web-based messaging.
No prior experience is necessary; we’re looking for people who are passionate about fighting poverty and righting wrongs, regardless of GPA/background.
DetailsThis is an unpaid internship, although college credit is available.
