Remuneration: £45,000-£55,000 base + £5,000 uncapped commission (possible guarantee year one)

Responsibilities- Sell specialist roofing contractor services within the roof refurbishment market.
- Provide roof asset management services and preventative maintenance to multinational businesses across industrial, commercial, public sector and utility organisations such as rail, power, MOD and food manufacturing.
- Focus on large‑scale projects for metal cladding or flat roofing systems into blue‑chip companies such as National Grid, B&Q, Scottish Power, Pfizer, United Biscuits, Glaxo, Shell, BP.
- Target individuals in charge of building properties – primarily building surveyors; also facilities managers, managing directors and external consultants.
- Handle projects ranging from £30,000 to £1m+.
- Achieve a revenue target of approximately £500,000 of new business in the first full year (area already achieving circa £1m).
- Follow up with own contacts and some leads via manufacturers.
- Spend the majority of time with B2B end users and the remainder with FM providers.
- Business Development Manager with a proven track record in roofing industry field sales.
- Experience selling roofing contractor services preferred; open to building products with services/installations.
- Field sales experience with manufacturers or waterproofing products considered.
- Ability to target building surveyor practices and other end‑user clients such as property owners, procurement managers, bursars, facilities managers, managing directors and external consultants.
- New business oriented.
- Knowledge of liquid‑applied roofing, flat roofing systems or metal cladding advantageous.
- Pragmatic attitude, following an enquiry through to order.
- Understanding of design/estimating or ability to read technical drawings not essential but may be useful.
- Autonomous, innovative thinker with high energy, passion and an attitude of going the extra mile.
- Ability to absorb technical information.
- Computer literate.
- Established 30+ years.
- 150+ employees.
