Security Officer – Gloucester (Full‑time, DV Clearance Required)

Contract Type: Full-time

Security Clearance: Developed Vetting (DV) required

We're looking for a committed Security Officer to join our team in Gloucester. In this role, you'll provide essential security services, including site protection, patrolling, CCTV monitoring, and visitor management.

Please note:

DV clearance is mandatory and must be obtained before starting. This process can take up to 12 months and involves a detailed background check.

• Hold a valid SIA Licence
• Be a British citizen
• Have at least 5 years of checkable work history

• Control access for authorised personnel
• Monitor site activity via Access Control Systems and CCTV
• Conduct patrols and daily alarm checks
• Respond to alarms and manage visitor reception
• Provide out‑of‑hours MDL Service Desk support
• Perform random searches and deter unauthorised entry
• Handle suspect packages per agreed procedures
• Deliver security services across two sites
• Support colleagues and cover absences
• Undertake ad‑hoc tasks as directed

• Previous security experience helpful but not essential
• SIA Licence holder and CCTV trained
• Strong communication skills and IT literate
• Customer‑focused with a commitment to protecting people and assets
• Ability to meet KPIs and SLAs
• Willingness to undertake additional training for continuous development
