Position: Community Support Worker )

Overview

Location: Gloucester and Cheltenham
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: Permanent

We have an exciting opportunity for CFO Evolution – Community Support worker to join our team. As a support worker, you will work with a caseload of participants in a community environment, starting with the initial assessment and continuing with guidance and support during their engagement. Interventions will be delivered one-on-one and through group work to help participants overcome challenges, reintegrate into their communities, and progress through the programme.

The initiative aims to establish safe spaces where individuals who have undergone rehabilitation can engage in positive activities that improve health, social inclusion, and develop practical skills to meet daily obstacles.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience in probation, social care or the criminal justice sector. We value the ability to work with diverse backgrounds and circumstances and to coach/mentor participants. This is a rewarding opportunity to help participants change their lives.

In return for your dedication, knowledge and commitment, we offer a competitive salary of £24,650 - £29,000 per annum (dependent on experience) with these benefits:

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet individual performance targets and contribute toward team performance targets in line with contractual requirements.
  • Collaborate with volunteer peer mentors to manage caseloads and connect participants with resources for housing, substance use, physical and mental health.
  • Contribute to a learning environment to develop colleagues’ skills and share best practice.
  • Ensure effective case management and coordination of risk with safeguarding of adults and children, including timely notification of concerns and adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all contractual targets are met.
Skills and Experience
  • IAG Level 3 – desirable
  • Experience managing a caseload of participants – desirable
  • Knowledge of inputting and retrieving electronic data and maintaining computer-based information systems in an accurate and timely manner; experience in a target-driven environment
  • Excellent verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to relate to people at all levels
  • Ability to motivate and sustain engagement of individuals
