Part-time, 20 hours per week (2 shifts per week, 8–12 hours each)

Pay: £116.10 per shift

We are looking for Driver’s Mates to join our transport team at our third‑party distribution centre in Gloucester. As a Driver’s Mate you will work alongside the driver in a 44‑ton HGV vehicle, making product deliveries overnight, ensuring that stores are securely locked and meeting the documented store requirements for pallet positioning. You will be required to hold store keys and alarm codes, gain secure access, manoeuvre stock into position, and secure the premises after delivery.

• Work alongside drivers to make store deliveries
• Hold store keys and alarm codes for all stores on the delivery run
• Gain safe and secure access to all stores on the run
• Move palletised stock into position and secure the premises after delivery
• Apply health and safety and security procedures
• Act as key-holder on behalf of Pets at Home Ltd
• Check pallet counts against delivery documents and report variances on driver’s paperwork
• Ensure the security of the store is not compromised
• Assist in ensuring deliveries are made on time and report any issues on driver’s paperwork
• Report any issues with keys or alarms promptly
• Maintain and meet the required standards
• Ensure awareness, safety and well‑being of others in line with company procedures and safe working practices
