About the Role
As an Audit Manager, you will lead and manage audit engagements across a varied client base. Your core responsibilities will include:
Managing a portfolio of clients with significant fee value
Leading end‑to‑end audit assignments and overseeing audit teams
Identifying and assessing risks, ensuring robust audit execution
Acting as the main point of contact for clients and resolving queries
Ensuring audit work meets professional standards and internal quality requirements
Coaching, mentoring and developing junior team members
Supporting business development activities and client service enhancements
This role offers a hybrid working model and autonomy to apply your technical expertise while working closely with senior stakeholders.
Requirements Who We’re Looking For
Our ideal candidate will have:
A recognised accounting qualification such as ACA or ACCA (or equivalent)
Demonstrable experience managing audit assignments and teams
Strong technical knowledge of UK auditing and accounting standards
Excellent client relationship skills and commercial awareness
A proactive and organised approach with great leadership ability
Experience in substantive and controls‑based audits and familiarity with financial reporting frameworks including UK GAAP, IFRS and FRS standards
