Quantity Surveyor – High-End Residential

We are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team based in Godalming, working on some of the most bespoke and high-end residential schemes in the region.

The successful candidate will take commercial lead on individual new-build and refurbishment projects typically valued at £4M, overseeing the full project lifecycle from pre-construction through to final account. You will be working autonomously on your own projects while also contributing to the wider commercial function of the business.

• Full commercial management of high-end residential projects from inception to completion
• Preparation of cost plans, tender documentation, procurement, and contract negotiation
• Manage subcontractor packages and valuations
• Monitor project spend, identify variations, and manage risk and value engineering
• Liaise closely with architects, clients, contractors, and in-house delivery teams
• Produce and manage cash flow forecasts and final accounts

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the high-end residential or prime residential sector
• Comfortable working independently on single projects valued around £4M
• Excellent knowledge of JCT contracts and bespoke procurement routes
• Strong commercial acumen, attention to detail, and communication skills
• Ability to work closely with private clients and design-led consultants
• Ideally degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
