About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for two Visiting Officers to join a Surrey local authority team on a temporary basis. This role is ideal for professionals with strong housing knowledge and experience engaging with tenants and vulnerable individuals.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site property inspections and gather accurate data.
- Review and understand Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (PEEPs) for residents with specific needs.
- Identify and assess housing-related risks.
- Engage with tenants and vulnerable individuals professionally and empathetically.
- Ensure safeguarding protocols are followed at all times.
Essential Requirements
- Strong housing knowledge and compliance experience.
- Previous experience visiting tenants and vulnerable people.
- Understanding of safeguarding principles.
- Excellent communication skills and risk awareness.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (travel required).
