Small, friendly practice of practically‑minded structural engineers based in Godalming are so busy they need another team member. The firm has six staff currently and is very busy. They work on a wide range of building projects, from small residential buildings up to £20m developments with steel and concrete frames. They are an easy‑going firm but work hard. As part of a small team they rely on each other, so a team player is essential.

A degree is not essential and if you are a structural CAD technician who can do some calculations or want to progress into an engineering role you can certainly be considered.

Ideally you will have 2–4 years of structural design experience in a buildings design practice. Future prospects for promotion and progression within the practice are excellent as a Director will be looking to retire in the near future, making this a great opportunity for an ambitious person. Local candidates will be given priority.

• 2–4 years of experience in structural design as a minimum
• Experience with Tekla/Tedds
• Fluent English
• Practical mind, willing to go to site and learn
