HGV Class 1 Driver

Apply today to work as an HGV Class 1 Driver for our client who has one of the biggest names within the HGV industry. Staffline is recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers to work in Goole. The latest vehicles on the market give you the best HGV experience and a top-range vehicle to work with. Consolidated pay rates are paid weekly at £18.99 - £23.99 per hour.

This role offers night shifts from Sunday to Thursday, starting at 6pm.

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or maintenance needs to ensure roadworthiness.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, logbooks, and other necessary paperwork in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to health and safety regulations.

• Hold a valid HGV 1/C+E Licence, DCPC & Tacho cards.
• Have a minimum of 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience with no more than 6 points and no DD/DR code convictions.
• Comply with on-site health and safety requirements and be able to understand and comply with the driver’s hours and WTD legislation.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and report defects correctly.
