We're looking for a highly experienced and safety-conscious Field Operations Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a strong background in pipeline operations, emergency response, and computerized data management. This role requires significant autonomy and adherence to strict safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
The Field Operations Technician will be responsible for a critical range of activities, focusing on maintaining the integrity and safe operation of our pipeline infrastructure.

Duties include:

Emergency Response:
Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations, following established protocols to ensure public and environmental safety.

Data Management:
Independently and accurately enter and locate data using specialized computerized systems, including Klova, Geo Find, and EDMS.

Technical Operations:

Utilize and maintain engineering prints and schematics with minimal direction.

Operate and maintain specialized test equipment to monitor system performance.

Perform routine and preventative pipeline maintenance tasks.

Project Oversight & Control:
Oversee and manage project activities, providing active control duties and direction to contractors to ensure work aligns with specifications and safety standards.

Safety & Compliance:

Understand and follow emergency management (preparedness and response) procedures for all work locations.

Ensure all work tasks and duties strictly comply with HS&E policies, procedures, and applicable legislation.

Qualifications

Education:

High school diploma or GED is required.

Experience:

5–9 years of relevant experience in field operations, pipeline maintenance, or a closely related industrial setting.

Required Skills and Attributes

Demonstrated proficiency in operating and managing computerized data systems.

Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills in high-pressure situations.

Experience overseeing and directing contractor work.
