Position: INTERMEDIATE CIVIL TECHNOLOGIST

Qualifications:

Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology from an accredited institution

Member or eligibility for membership in ASET

3-5 years of municipal civil engineering experience, including but not limited to:

Water Distribution Systems Wastewater Collection Systems Stormwater Management Systems Site Grading Transportation

Demonstrated knowledge of general construction methods

Strong presentation, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Self-motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented

Proficiency with Civil3D software

Responsibilities:

Perform general project duties including preparing cost estimates, design drawings, specifications, and contract documents, under the supervision of a Senior Engineer or Technologist

Develop, prepare, and review civil engineering design drawings, coordinating with the engineering Design Team

Conduct site inspections and materials testing as required

Manage construction contracts and liaise with clients and contractors

Coordinate designs and construction inspections with multiple disciplines

Replacement and upgrade of underground water, sewer, and stormwater infrastructure
