Leading an established local engineering team, the Civil Group lead will collaborate, listen and learning from our greater Grande Prairie & Allnorth team to determine the best path forward for growth and sustainability.
Additional key responsibilities include
Personnel Management, evaluation and recruitment of personnelActing as a technical expertManaging a team of engineers, designers and technicians, managing workload, prioritizing trainingManaging a variety of projects such as infrastructure upgrades and subdivision developments, including design and construction of water, sewer, drainage, and transportation infrastructureProvide technical guidance to a team of Professional Engineers, EITs and designers to deliver preliminary to detailed design drawings and specificationsCarry out estimates of project costs, analysis and calculations, design review, preparation of reports, proposals, and contract documentationMaintain and develop business relationships with current and potential clientsInterface directly with clients, team members, contractors, and others to clearly define project requirements and expectations to deliver projects across the Province / Country / North AmericaWorking with Civil Engineering (and other discipline) leads across Allnorth to further maintain and develop the practice at Allnorth to or beyond the industry standard.What You’ll Bring to the Team
Bachelor’s degree in Civil EngineeringMust be registered (or eligible to register) as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) in the province of Alberta10+ years of relevant experience in civil engineering and project managementExperience in municipal, land development and infrastructure projects.Strong project management, technical and analytical skillsStrong communication / technical writing skills demonstrated through experience in the preparation of correspondence, reports and proposalsEffective verbal communicator, including presentation, facilitation and listening skillsAbility to work independently as well as in a team environment; able to mentor and work with junior engineers and designersGood organization skills and strong attention to detailStrong decision making, ability to take action consistent with available facts, constraints and anticipated consequences.What’s in it for you?
