Main duties of the jobThe post-holder will deal with a wide range of health needs ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.
You will play an important role in ensuring an integrated and focussed provision relevant to the differing needs of the patient population and be part of the multi-disciplinary team providing a full range of primary medical services.
The post-holder will make him/her-self available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations, online consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, referrals, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion.
To participate in ensuring that the practice is delivering its contractual and statutory obligations.
In general the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.

Job Summary
To work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to the practice population, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the GMS contract. Furthermore, the post-holder will adhere tothe GMC standards for good medical practice, contributing to the effective management of the practice, leading by example, maintaining a positive,collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team.
