Manufacturing Engineer Join a Fast-Growing, Innovative Engineering Organisation Salary: £30,000 – £43,200 Excellent Benefits Are you a driven Manufacturing Engineer looking to step into a role where you can shape production processes, support NPI, and influence operational excellence ? What You'll Be Doing
• Ensuring designs released to production are standardised, manufacturable and testable
• Participating in project meetings, design reviews and DFM reviews
• Supporting prototype builds and resolving pre-production issues
• Creating detailed manufacturing plans including layouts, cycle times, resourcing and tooling
• Supporting New Product Introduction to meet quality, cost and timescale targets
• Training operations teams during new product/process rollout
• Designing and implementing new production lines & layouts and preparing Cap Ex proposals
• Developing jigs, fixtures and tooling to improve efficiency and material flow
• Conducting time & motion studies, line balancing and value stream mapping
• Creating routings and standard times within the ERP system
• Performing root cause analysis and driving corrective actions
• Managing maintenance schedules to minimise downtime
• Estimating costs, production times and resource requirements for new designs
• Maintaining and improving work instructions and process documentation
• Reducing scrap, rework and non-value-added activities through CI methodologies
• Enhancing material flow and inventory processes with procurement and production
• Identifying techniques and equipment that elevate best practice
• Supporting daily production meetings and assisting with issue resolution
• Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety procedures What You'll Bring
• Degree-level qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline
• Experience in a similar manufacturing/production engineering role
• Lean Six Sigma certification (preferred)
