Are you ready to take the next big step in your finance career? This is your chance to join a forward-thinking organisation and be part of a team driving real change. As an Assistant Accountant, you won’t just crunch numbers; you’ll play a key role in shaping the financial heartbeat of a business that’s investing in its people, its technology, and its future.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious finance professional to build their expertise, gain exposure across the full finance function, and contribute to a growing and evolving organisation where your ideas and initiative will be valued.

What you’ll be doing :

Support the month-end process, preparing and posting journals (including payroll, accruals, and prepayments).
Complete balance sheet and bank reconciliations with precision to ensure financial accuracy and control.
Manage revenue recognition and ensure all reporting is timely and accurate.
Assist with monthly management accounts, departmental budgets, and the annual audit.
Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns in line with compliance requirements.
Handle intercompany charges and reconciliations to maintain accurate group reporting.
Contribute to the budgeting and forecasting process to support informed decision-making.
Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register, ensuring correct depreciation and asset tracking.
Drive continuous improvement and efficiencies within finance systems and processes.

What we’re looking for:

Solid accounting experience with a good grasp of the numbers and how they drive the business.
Strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset. You spot issues early and enjoy finding better ways to do things.
Confidence with Excel and finance systems, using them to streamline work and make reporting more efficient.
Calm under pressure, able to manage tight deadlines and competing priorities without losing focus.
A clear, confident communicator who builds strong working relationships across teams.
Ready to take the next step? I’d love to hear from you!
